[Birth of the Phoenix]

Very cool twist on a classic theme.

Phoenixes have gotten popular enough to be almost boring in many cases, but this one exudes originality.
I love the softness and earthiness of the background in comparison with the sharper lines and warm colors of the central image.
The "will-o-the-wisps" floating around add an ethereal touch that is pleasant.
Really killer work.

"Chthulu holds my halo" - the title of a print a friend in college did named Joel. He did some cool Chthulu stuff too. I always loved that title. i still have a copy of that print, it rocks!
