It sorta makes me think of what the Mad Hatter would have in the Alice in Acidland graphic novel, too.

I was trying NOT to go for an Alice in Wonderlandtypeishthing, but perhaps. I've been told it looks more like it's from Return to Oz or Brazil.
I think as long as all of the things it reminds people of are awesome things, then I'm good.

Drawing the pattern on the hand took forever actually, I'm putting a variation up inabit. But yeah the end product was pretty easy to get, I'm just lucky I got the positioning perfect first time.

Reminds me of my own work...

And I love it. Symmetry is pretty much my favorite thing,(as you can see in my own art)..and this lives up to every possible expectation. Beautiful colors, too.
It has a very liquid feel that I dig. Great work, sir.

Symmetry can certainly produce some amazing artwork. Although I have found it can be a little tricky to use effectively. Too much and the piece turns out mediocre. Too little and the composition looks lopsided. Some of the nicer uses of symmetrical designs I have seen over the years combine asymmetrical and symmetrical elements.

"Chthulu holds my halo" - the title of a print a friend in college did named Joel. He did some cool Chthulu stuff too. I always loved that title. i still have a copy of that print, it rocks!
